My sweet little niece turned one this month (you may remember from her fun 1st birthday shoot) and so it was party time. My sister Kayley is an expert decorator, designer, and party thrower and I couldn't wait to see what she pulled off for Miss Lulu. Brother Oliver's Circus Party was adorable, but I think she really outdid herself with this Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star party. There were 90 people, both big and small :-) in attendance along with plenty of yummy food and some music fun with Miss Janna. Here is just some of the cuteness. It was amazing!

She was a little nervous when everyone started singing :-), but eating her cupcake made it all ok!

My crazy kid is six years old today and I really can't believe it! Six just sounds so OLD...crossing over to "big kid" from "little kid" or something :-). Adeline is as spunky as ever but has really matured since starting Kindergarten this year. She is our little artist and can always be found creating something in her free time whether it be a beautiful picture, an airplane for a paper cat she has made or writing another book. She is a sweetheart; my only child that regularly compliments dinner and she is always quick to praise Ella and Preston for their own projects. We sure love our Addie Cat and can't wait to see what this year has in store for her!

It was such a fun year for me and my photography business!
I met some amazing people (and super cute kiddos) and also had the opportunity to take pictures of some of my favorite people as well. It was busy but I definitely feel lucky that I have been able to do something I love and have fun with at the same time. As 2012 was coming to an end, I was looking through shoots from the year and decided to share some of my favorite pictures.
I am looking forward to the new year and new changes for Three Peas Photography. After I finish up my two little end-of-the year baby shoots I will be posting about what is in store. Thank you to all my amazing clients and friends for a wonderful year!
Happy Two Thousand Thirteen :-)!!!

For the New Year

I am SO thankful for all the wonderful families that I have had the opportunity to meet and photograph this year! It has been crazy busy, but also so much fun.
As I continue to receive inquiries about shoots for Christmas, I thought I would post a little something about the current status of openings.
I am currently booked through January 2013. I have squeezed in as many people as I possibly can, while still maintaining my sanity and keeping up with my kiddos' activities :-).
Please continue checking in to see the most recent shoots and be sure to stop by in January for the new pricing and print options.
And of course, be sure to schedule your own shoot for 2013!!!

Where to begin with this one? Janna and I met when we both did a semester abroad in Uganda during college. We lost touch for awhile and then somehow reconnected over the internet at some point and she came out to Houston to photograph my sister's wedding 4 years ago. I had been so impressed with her wonderful photography but had forgotten what an amazing person she was. I loved talking to her! Janna makes you feel comfortable and good about yourself and important because she truly listens to what you say. I loved catching up with her and was so excited when she came back out the next year to visit and do some photo shoots. We had never had real family photos done and I was absolutely blown away by every image she created. She also answered my zillions of questions about what shutter speed was, what kind of camera should I get, can you explain aperture AGAIN, etc.?! I had always loved taking pictures (and took tons of them) but I had been too intimidated to try using my camera in anything but auto mode. Janna made me believe I could do it though and inspired me to just go for it! I have tried to convince her to move to Texas but so far she has stayed in Montana :-). I'm not giving up yet! So, when we started to plan our family mega-RV trip this year, I knew one of our destinations had to be Janna's house! I wanted to meet her family and catch up and maybe get our pictures taken again too :-). We were able to spend a weekend with her and her family (who are as equally awesome as she is) in July and one morning went out to this absolutely majestic location and took turns taking pictures of each others' families. To say I was nervous would be an understatement! She is my photography idol after all and I really, really wanted her to love her pictures as much as I knew I was going to like mine. Here is her preview...enjoy!
