I was a little nervous for this photo shoot because Mckell is one of my best friends and I wanted to be sure she loved her pictures! For some reason I feel more pressure shooting people I know :-). The sun coming up the morning we met provided the most beautiful light through the trees and I really love the soft feeling it gives these pictures. The outfits were perfect and I think the kids enjoyed me acting crazy to get some smiles...especially when I ended up flinging dried mangoes all over the place trying to get baby Drew to look at me for those last family shots :-). I'm thankful to have Mckell as a friend; she can always make me laugh, she teaches me the proper way to pronounce things like quinoa, and she loves food nearly as much as I do! Thanks for asking me to take your pictures! Enjoy!

I have known Allie for quite awhile now and was looking forward to taking her pictures this year. Two years ago she was one of my very first professional family sessions and I remember her shoot as being the one that gave me the confidence to keep at it. Their family is absolutely adorable, she always nails the outfits and there is so much love between them all. I love the series of the sweet brothers together and thought bringing some legos to capture their current obsession was a great idea. Allie, I hope you love the pictures as much as I do :-)!
couples shots can be a bit awkward to take :-), and at the time we felt like this pose wasn't working, but in the end, I am in love with this picture

Heading to this shoot I was a little nervous because it was CHILLY and I wasn't sure how the little guy would feel about it. Ryder however was happy as can be! 6 months is one of my favorite times to photograph because babies are starting to sit on their own and their personalities are coming out, but they can't run away from you yet :-). This little guy was absolutely adorable, his outfits were too cute and he was sooo easy to take pictures of! He smiled and was happy pretty much the whole time (except for one hat he did NOT like). It was a nice break from all the family shoots I have been doing and I had a blast! Enjoy your preview!

These sisters are only one year apart and are the best of friends. I would have loved to have a sister so close to me in age! They are so lucky to have each other and it is very apparent how much they love each other. The oldest was one of my own oldest's first friends when she started school and I was so honored to be asked to take their pictures. It was a fun night! Enjoy your preview!
